USA DentBoard Pro LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the USA DentBoard Pro mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
  • Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe, Inc. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Profile Information: Country of origin, dental school, graduation year, and target U.S. state for licensure (optional, used to personalize content).
  • Support Communications: Messages you send to our support team.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Questions answered, scores, time spent studying, features accessed, and study streaks.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Log Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time and date of visits, and crash reports.
  • Analytics: We use anonymized analytics to understand how users interact with the app and improve our Service.

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect sensitive health information, dental patient records, or any Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA. Our app is an educational tool for dental professionals and does not process patient data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
  • Process subscription payments and manage your account;
  • Personalize your study experience and track your progress;
  • Send study reminders and push notifications (with your consent);
  • Respond to support requests and communicate service updates;
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve the app and add new features;
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): Cloud hosting and data storage. Data is stored on servers located in the United States.
  • Analytics Providers: Anonymized, aggregated usage data only.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, dispute resolution).

5.1 All Users

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information;
  • Opt out of marketing communications;
  • Disable push notifications in your device settings;

5.2 European Union Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to object to processing, the right to restriction of processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our legal basis for processing is performance of a contract (subscription services) and legitimate interests (service improvement and security).

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising CCPA rights.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive data, access controls and authentication requirements, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for dental professionals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

8. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

9. Push Notifications

With your consent, we may send push notifications to your device for study reminders and app updates. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's notification settings or within the app settings.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
